Where do you gather your style inspiration?
I am most drawn to modern minimal design that is made to last. I also try to pay attention to people who are trying to make conscious choices in production.
What is your favorite Kick Pleat purchase?
Anything Jesse Kamm. I travel a lot and I always have at least two Kamm pieces in my case. I love Kamm’s take on the uniform which makes it easy to mix and match on the road no matter what the occasion, or season.
Also, I can wear my Common Project Chelsea boots or a pair of MNZ slides with just about everything. Even yoga pants. It’s smart to always pack a Lauren Manoogian comfort piece too.
What is important to you in terms of your personal style?
When I am comfortable and feel good it gives me what I need to support and help others feel good. When I feel my best, I do my damn best.
What feels good is always changing and I prefer to honor that - so I like to make sure I have clothes for every mood!
How would you describe the aesthetic of your home?
Open, well lit, calming. Dog friendly.
How do you spend your free time?
I appreciate time walking, hiking or running with my dog, going to the movies or brainstorming a compassionate world takeover.
Do you have a vacation spot that you love?
Madera’s Village in Nicaragua is one of the most incredible places I’ve ever been. It really inspired me and hugged me in a nice way. So much so that I am headed back again this year and inviting people all over the world to join me. They have cultivated an incredible spot off the beaten path that promotes community, wellness and fosters art of all kinds.
How do you maintain balance in your life?
Regular yoga practice, cooking, and lots of daily gratitude.
And Benji, the dog. Benji has some magic power to ease and restore whoever is in his company. It’s true.
